We, together with a group of teachers from Gaziantep in south east Turkey, visited this popular secondary school, the biggest in Barcelos with 1800 pupils. Like every other school in Portugal, a platform called Inovar is used for communication between teachers and students and their educator for general purpose. It is up to the teacher to make use of more specific online tools. We met a teacher of descriptive geometry who uses google classroom for sharing with his classes different projects they work on. He may for that purpose allow the student to access their phone or tablet temporarily during the class. This is our first instance of blended learning we have met so far. The school library also is well equipped with computer access for students, similar to a county library in Ireland. It seems that the use of internet tools remain limited and could benefit from more investment in equipment and teacher training.
