Beside interacting with our Portuguese guests, we had throughout the week many opportunities to exchange with teachers from a variety of countries such Lithuania, Czech Republic, Szeged in Hungary and Gaziantep in south east Turkey. This group of young teachers face the challenge of welcoming in their schools an impressive number of Syrian refugees while the education structure can’t keep pace. This means classes of up to 40 students, half of them having to learn Turkish. What to a challenge!
