This morning was spent meeting our hosts in Mobility Friends, wonderful people and very committed!
Ana spoke to us about the Portuguese Education system and we looked at the challenges facing it, such as the trade off between funding issues faced by government and solutions provided by private institutions but at the cost of holistic education. This was described as the difference between Lifelong Learning and Lifelong Education.
At what point does the State’s obligation to provide education for the sake of individual betterment end and training for the future economy and job creation begin??
