Daily Summary

Today I was able to work one on one with a child. In the morning we did comprehensive work and I found out how quick to learn the child was. I also learned a lot too! Then in the afternoon the class helped bake the cake they prepared for yesterday!

Learning & Positive Aspects of the Day

I was able to get to know a child and found out he has a great sense of humor, he also knows a few English words and sentences, and was very happy to share what he knew with me. It was a lovely experience.

Challenges Encountered

I’m finding it hard to communicate even though I know some Spanish. I feel out my comfort zone sometimes when the class is busy. I couldn’t help the child with some of the work because of the language barrier.

Self-Evaluation

I am fond on the class and enjoy being there, I want to learn more and understand. I was afraid to use the translator in class but now if I translate immediately I can retain more Spanish.

Cultural

It’s raining still in Spain! It rains a lot! And all day long.

Tonight we are going wine tasting!
