Daily Summary
Today i arrived at my work placment and greeted everyone in the classroom i was in for 2 weeks. When i got there i was asked by my observer Marife could i put in my contact details as she would like to contact me in the dear future etc. After i did that i got the children ready for the day and helped the staff with anything that was needed to be done. Today was such a emotional day as i had to say goodbye to the children in the room as i got attached to them and i had to say goodbye to the Marife and the girls that were in the room with me and also to our supervisor. Before i left i was given things to remember them by and wad given back my work experience reports and that was when i said my goodbyes and thank you and started crying.
Learning & Positive Aspects of the Day
What i have learned is that doesnt matter if there is a language barrier, if your from a different country, you have different values etc but i made friends in my work placment very fast and got attached to the place, staff and children very fast over the past 2 weeks, 10 working days i was there.
Challenges Encountered
Challenges were not encountered but saying goodbye was hard.
Self-Evaluation
I have learned so much over the 2 weeks i was in San Rafael special education centre but the skills i have learned will never be forgot and being there for 2 weeks was a short time.
Cultural
Later today we climbed up mountains to get to the Sacramento (caves) where people live in and live in there for free or as part of their beliefs and values.
